Being a contributing part of healthy community is one of my main goals. I am always involved in different projects locally and abroad.

One project that is very close to my heart is in Sierra Leone, Africa. I went with a small team from Developing World Connections to help build a school. This school was a small part of a much bigger project through We Yone Child Foundation, Sierra Leone. Santigie Bayo Dumbuya, a former child soldier, started this foundation after the civil war in Sierra Leone to help rebuild his country. This story started with a school, then transformed into a story about Ebola, survival and once again rebuilding. Santigie through his foundation has never stopped working, supporting and educating his people. Through all the illness and hardship the work on the school never stopped and the children recently moved into the completed building. Look through the photos of the beginning of the story of these amazing people.
